MIA...
Yes I've been MIA. No I have not continued with the salads. Yes I'm okay...mostly. No I'm not gonna air it all out here. You don't want that anyway.
I'm trying to be a more positive person!! :)
(The salads were fine I'm just having some stomach issues.)
ANYWAY...
I took a mini-vacation to get away from it all, went home and spent time with my mom, sister & mother-in-law, and some BOOKS! So that be where I was.
So...I'm a little obsessed. If you read me at all you know that I am obsessed with Star Trek and that I must...MUST...somehow get my hands on a Blu-ray player by November 17 so I can promptly watch Star Trek at home and stay up all night watching all the extras!!!
Well, I found a Star Trek trailer online...I'm sure I had seen it at some point...maybe not...I don't know. I couldn't stop watching it!!! It's truly an intense trailer and a lot of it has to do with the music. It's fantastic! I kept watching the trailer to just hear the music.
Of course...all the answers to life are on the internet so I researched and found out what song it was. An obscure song that is not on any albums. But Paramount loved it so much they bought the exclusive rights to it and created this most fantabulous trailer.
I also used my magic internet searching skills to find the song and downloaded it and now I keep playing it over and over and over and over and over...it's a bummer it's only 2:29 long.
I get my kicks out of music like this...movie scores...instrumental emotion evoking loveliness.
So here it is...the best trailer EVER...
Love.

Salad-tober...
Well, I feel like a disappointment here. I did make another salad today, no worries on that. But it's basically the same thing as yesterday.
Well, I had to use the cooked shrimp leftover from yesterday!
But mostly I'm not being that creative anymore because I'm going through a stressful time right now and find it hard to be uber-creative. That and I'm really not that hungry as much, I eat because I know I should.
I don't mean to be a downer, just being honest!
So today's was a repeat of yesterday's salad except I kept the shrimp cold and used my Lime Basil dressing instead.

Gay marriage...well said...
Listen as this 86 year old Republican war veteran explains his feelings about gay marriage.
There are times he's hard to understand but his message is still powerful.
My favorite quote..."The woman at my polling place asked me do I believe in equality for gay and lesbian people. I was pretty surprised to be asked a question like that. It made no sense to me. Finally I asked her: what do you think I fought for in Omaha Beach? ".
